Please do not be rude and obnoxious, constructive is ok! My guy bought me these fab ankle boots as a gift http://www.bakersshoes.com/product.aspx?c=445&p=62304 I had no idea what to wear them with so I found Marc Jacobs over the knee socks online after seeing a photo of someone wearing them with a skirt. I thought it was sexy. The shoes and socks with a skirt were a bit outside my fashion envelope but I tried it. I wore them with a white and black skirt with a black cowel neck shirt and the black over the knee socks. He absolutely LOVED how it looked. Kept telling me he never knew socks would make me look so HOT. I got tons of compliments out and about as well. blagh blagh. I was not going for the school girl look, however it appears now I pulled it off a bit after posting a question about my outfit earlier. I have Photos he HAD to take from his blackberry, check em out. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/buckingfananas/IMG00042-20090322-16102.jpg
http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/buckingfananas/IMG00033-20090322-15482.jpg
I was wondering if I could do the same thing with a jean skirt? I mean it would take the plaid skirt out of the equation, but again the only thing school girl like was the skirt I think.
So he said I looked so hot in the jessica simpson boots he bought me these http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?brand=&category=&prodId=179402&productRef=CROSS:
They are a dark brown. What do I wear them with? Can someone make me an outfit? WHAT COLOR OVER THE KNEE SOCKS LOOK GOOD WITH THESE? Can I wear over the knee high socks with these?? HELP?!!
And he BOUGHT me these http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?index=18&category=&prodId=184946&brand=300245
Again what do I wear with these? They are black and off white. I have no idea as this is out of my fashion relm. I do not think I could wear white over the knee socks and a skirt cuz they are off white. Maybe the black ones again?
Please help!

I wrote an essay for my freshman writing class and Im looking for some input to make it better? Any ideas?
Conformity’s Everlasting Regime
Look down at the shoes you are wearing. Think back on the day you purchased them. You are walking the malls of Dadeland, and you come across some interesting but rather outlandish blue and red ballet flats with the face of a mouse on the toes of the shoes. Your first thought is “who would buy these?” You pull the shoe off the display, and your eyes fall into the sole of the shoe to realize their Marc Jacobs’ latest design. This changes everything. You begin tracking down a shoe salesman as if you were a great white hunter in the jungles of Africa. Target! “Can I have these in a size seven?” Those two fancy words won you over, Marc and Jacobs or better known as conformity. Conformity, evident in everyone’s life, often plays a harsher dictatorial role in the lives of the young adult population in the form of peer pressure. I believe you must fight the tyrant of conformity to protect your mind, body, and civilizations.
Conformity is the process of abiding to an orthodox perspective, embracing the entrenched concepts, and adhering to the mainstream standards. It is when a high-spirited freshman embraces the sisterhood of a sorority, or a pompous stockbroker sips his daily Starbucks’ Dolce Latte while swarming through the hordes of people on Wall Street. It is our typical approach to celebrating holidays, the style in which we dress, and the social manners we employ.
Individuals who feel incompetent or insecure are the first targets of the cruel grips of conformity. As a society we view conformity as a secure shortcut, often taking the effortless and dependable route to success. For example, when a man catches glimpse of an alluring, distinct path, paved with clay bricks and directional signs, his wearisome boots unconsciously embark on the unsoiled trail ensuring him a mud-free finish. Why would one make their own trail when one so attractive stands right before them? Society also applauds us when we abide by the normal standards. On the other hand, it punishes nonconformist exemplified by the incarceration of criminals who don’t follow our codes of law and morality.
I have repeatedly fallen victim to conformity’s enticing Casanova-like charm. I own an Apple Ipod, I wear jeans, and I login to Facebook. I tasted the power of conforming in kindergarten when I was scolded for coloring Little Red Riding Hood’s coat magenta as opposed to brick red like the rest of the class. From that day on, I learned following the majority was rewarded and under all circumstances avoid being different. In about the sixth grade I started shopping at Abercrombie and Fitch to dress in the brands that most of the girls in my school wore. In the seventh grade I bought my first pair of Brazilian jeans because tight jeans separated the popular crowd from the geeks. In the ninth grade I joined my high school cheerleading team, realizing it was a shortcut to finding popularity. Conformity’s innocent fun can often take sharp turns, revealing its’ treacherous dark side.
Around new faces my insecurity and timidness become unbearable, making me exceedingly vulnerable to the attacks of conformity. My first night out with my brother and his friends can be classified as a perfect example. Alex, the driver of a brand new Volkswagen rabbit, was much like the real life version of the movie character Juno with a pragmatic attitude toward life and a sarcastic sense of humor. She wore thick black-framed glasses and swept her bangs off to the left side of her face. A confident version of my younger brother I had never met proclaimed “shotgun” as if he had conquered front seat territory. I found myself crammed in the back seat between two bronzed versions of Beavis and Butthead sitting in what they called the “bitch seat”. We raced off to a local Kwik Mart where we convinced the Arabian cashier to sell us a few Old English’s and a pack of Camel’s unfiltered. After hours drifting up and down the streets of Kendall with Ram Jam’s “Black Betty” roaring from the speakers, we stumbled upon a high-school party with a few familiar faces.
Well-lubricated, I forcefully gulped down my last sip of beer. I suddenly noticed a pipe and a mini red lighter going around the circle of people sitting by the pool. I made nothing of the pipe until it was in Alex’s hands. With the opaque green bowl resting in her palms as if it was the sacred body of Lord Jesus Christ, she directed me to “take a hit.” I felt a blank expression take over my face, as my paralyzed lips remained speechless. I, plenty of times before, had the will power to say no, but had lost it somewhere in between stepping into the black hatchback and the last taste of my warm beer. Alex, gripping the pipe with her thumb and forefinger, brought it up to her lips as she lit the green plant with a fire that doubled in size
While slowly exhaling a puff of white smoke, Alex tapped me on the shoulder, “Your turn Geeg.” I glanced around the circle, and the pressure of a million eyes stared me down. I hesitated but saw my pale, trembling hands unconsciously reaching out. My emotions were incredibly complex and convoluted. All at the same time I wanted to say no, I wanted to say yes, I wanted to make believe I had done this before, I wanted to act experienced, and I wanted to run away. Before my drunken mind could decipher these mixed feelings, people of the crowd muttered “Hurry up!” The tension turned into sharp needles continuing to thrust deeper and deeper into my skin. I grew frightened and horrified by how the group would react had I refused their offer. I saw my hands mimic Alex’s as I almost instinctively wrapped my fingers around the foreign apparatus and watched the green shrivel away, realizing Conformity had conquered me. I had experienced smoking marijuana for the first time, not for any p
not for any personal desire but simply to satisfy an environment in hopes of finding my place. Coincidently, I did not win any friends over with my suave, nonchalant personality as I embarrassingly coughing for what seemed to be hours, but rather ironically with my youthful and innocent smile.
After taking a course in psychology at my high school I realized our human minds are frequently and unconsciously conforming. I learned the science behind the frightful workings of conformity in Solomon Asch’s Conformity Study . In the experiment, Asch told his subjects that he was conducting research for theories of visual perception, when he was in fact exploring conformity. Each subject was then placed in a room with six of Asch’s collaborators, whom dressed and played the part of Asch’s other “subjects”. All the subjects and collaborators were then asked to point out the longest lines on several different cards. At this point, Asch’s collaborators would purposely choose a clearly wron

had u kept reading you’d notice how i fall victim to conformity as well… so no im not saying im better than you! And learn to spell WHETHER… not WEATHER. I wouldn’t want someone like you to look at my essay anyway.
Mojo I bet u are the best example of a conformist… so keep the negativity to yourself and just comment on the actual writing.
