Prom is approaching and I’m beginning to think about dresses. I wanted to look online before I actually went shopping, but when I tried to find a couture dress all I got was “inspired by so and so” or some designers I’d never heard of before (who is this Jovani anyway? I’d never heard of him until now.) So where can I find a good website that compiles all the REAL haute couture designers (Armani, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, etc.) and not their counterfeits? I would really appreciate any help.
I know where to find haute couture, (which, when used casually, is not limited to the designers backed by the French department of commerce) I just got back from a shopping trip to Neiman Marcus. I want to know where I can find their prom dresses exclusively, set apart from their cocktail dresses, regular evening dresses etc. Really, if Isaac Mizrahi can refer to Gucci as haute couture, I’m sure anyone can.

I’m a sophomore in college. Freshman year I had a lot of depressing stuff going on so I didn’t want to make friends.
Now everything is better, but I can’t seem to find the kinds of friends I would like.
I love fashion and preppy stuff, but I also love anime/videogames/guitar/art/cooking. I joined the college anime club, but a lot of people go in cliques and are kinda antisocial.
In high school I was very popular and had a super awesome friend (but we went to different colleges sooo) who was girly and loved anime/videogames/art/fashion. I really want another friend like this.
I wear cheaper high fashion brands like Marc by Marc Jacobs/Miu Miu, lots of cashmere/leather boots,abercrombie & hollister, Louis Vuitton. I am very short *4′11″*, white (and pale), 100 lbs, curvy (but thin), orange hair/turquoise eyes and I have a thin/mature looking face.
I wear anime keychains on all my tote bags and have anime-design binders.
I don’t really want to put up a photo (i already have a boyfriend, so I just want to make friends)…
But does it sound like there is anything I can add to my look to “attract” a girly/preppy otaku/gamer friend?

I saw this ok dress a marc jacob’s but it was like $7,000.00 so I tryed it on and it looked good but then I asked my friends what they think and they said ” NO Way tooo cheap for a party let’s go to rodeo drive they might have expensive stores” so I went do you think the dress was too cheap?
There is a Valentine’s day dance next month and I want to get a dress but I cant find one. I am 13, but I am tall so it can be a womens dress, I guess. As long as you don’t have to have a chest to wear it. I like every store really, but you don’t have to go cheap. It can be $50-$250. My style is edgy punk, put not like hot topic, more Marc by Marc Jacobs. Thanks a lot!

its for my alevel textiels project, im going to be making a dress, and it has to fit a designers style and have its own theme,
i think i will do marc jacobs – uses alot of belts,
but im not sure what theme, i was thinking pop art, but im still not sure
i dont want 1950’s. becuase i did that for GCSE (:
