All of my friends constantly say I am spoiled, and are quite rude about it and frankly I do not brag or boast nor am I condescending.
Some defining things I suppose:
-iphone 4s
-brand new laptop
-my dad drives a hummer 2
-my mother drives a 2011 Lexus SUV
-My house is worth over a million
-I have a lake house
-New Skiboat
-ATVs
-my dad has his fixed up ‘project’ car
-I got a car before I got my permit, not that expensive like 15,000
-My makeup collection is really expensive , MAC, NARS, etc
-Closet full of clothes, brands like: Juicy Couture, Hudson, Joe Brand jeans, Miss me jeans, Steve madden, a few things from A&F and Gap, etc.
-I have over 30 pairs of shoes, i love shoes 
-Big collection of designer purses: Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture, Betsey Johnson, Coach, etc.
-Gucci Sunglasses
-Dior and Coach perfumes
-Tiffany & Co. Ring
-Used to go to an expensive private school
- Go on expensive vacations like go to NYC, Maui, Cancun, etc.
- my mom doesn’t work
-I have never had a job
-my graduation present is a Louis Vuitton handbag of my choice.
I am sure this sounds braggy, but I am trying to show material possessions so you guys get a good idea. I don’t brag, but if my friends are talking about what they got shopping and I chime in saying something I got they say im spoiled. Sigh. I am very thankful for the life my parents have given me, and I love them very much and try to help them when they need it. Family is very important to me and I spend a lot of time with my family, because I know time is precious.
So am I spoiled/rich?
I am trying to do something positive for my life, next year I will be starting schooling and I aspire to be a nurse, specializing in cardiovascular surgeries. That way I can help save lives, because I know first hand the effects of illness, my father is terminally ill. To answer one person, I find it very rude for you to accuse my mother of being a gold digger, my parents were not wealthy at all when I was first born, struggled to make ends meet, but after my father started his own business things turned around quite fast. So please do not make assumptions on things you know nothing about.
My friends think so. But I don’t.
Btw. I am not bragging!! Not!!!
I go to public school at a really rich white community. I’m going to go to the local private highschool that’s kinda expensive. My mom and I live in a big town house. I think she feels my mom feels bad that I don’t have a dad so she spoils me.
I have a bedroom and lounge room.
All the latest gadgets like iPhone. Laptop, flip
A closet of clothes from abercrombie holster Marc by Marc Jacobs and juicy couture and nordstrom
I got a lot of makeup.
And a lot of designer purses.
Although I may be spoiled material wise. I’m a nice girl who is appreciative. I get good grades and work hard

I got most of it on clearence and only spent six hundred dollars (beleive it or not.) I tried to really limit myself….my older brother spent eight hundred and fifty dollars on his clothes and my mom didn’t care. It just isn’t fair especially since my mom TOLD me to buy most of these things since I was in need of a pair of Uggs and a new jacket and some shorts. Anyways tell me whos right and wrong and give me some tips?

Ohh and she is really nice. She’ll do anything for a friend. She knows I have a lot of money problems and she bought me a pair of Uggs and a cute pair of YMI jeans for christmas last year! So she isn’t stuck up!
Okay well here goes. She turned 8 a couple of months ago. She has a Blackjack cell phone AND a Sliver cell phone!!!
And these arent even her first phones!!
She got her first phone when she was five years old.
AND she also has 1500 dollar Marc Jacobs purses, 1000 dollar Louis Vuittons, 2000 dollar Chloe purses and so on and so on. She barely knows what Abercrombie is and if she sees you in Gap she calls you cheap! [I've experienced it]. All she wears are designer clothing. My sister will practically fly to ITALY if her daughter cant find the Dior shoes she wants in her size!! She has a new pink dell laptop!
I just need ur opinion on this.
And i need ur help on confronting my sister on spoilng her.
What should i tell her?
I dont think this is healthy for my niece. She’s going to learn that getting what she wants is going to be part of her lifestyle and im afraid thats going to affect her.
i am tired of seeing the laundry lists of presents people post on yahoo answers. like tons of money, desinger perfumes and purses, ipods, phones, and they go on and on. and your going on about yourself why? do i care? people expect too much out of christmas as if the gifts are required the gifts in christmas are optional. sure i like getting presents but im just sick of seeing people write about how upset they are becuase they’re marc jacobs purse wasn’t in the right shade…
Am I Spoiled??? i dont think I am…?
OK, before I ask this question I dont want anyone to think I’m bragging, because believe it or not I have better things to do than brag on YA for attention. However, I do have time for this question because I want honest answers. I really dont think I’m spoiled at all, maybe a little bit priveleged, but definently not spoiled. BY the way I mean IN THE SENSE OF MATERIAL GOODS, NOT wether or not I’m grateful (which I am) Ok so again I’m NOT bragging (who even does that on here?) but here’s some average peices of clothes/jewelry/shoes/bags that I have. Starting with my house, I live a wealthy neighborhood where the cost of living is high, and the taxes are alot, and my family lives on an averaged sized lot and a big for most areas/small for this area home. i have an eternity cell phone, pink ipod nano, laptop, digital camera,& wii. To school, I wear something like this: True Religion/7 For all Mankind/ Miss Me jeans, i literally have shirts from EVERYWHERE from Micheal Kors & Marc by Marc Jacobs to homemade tye dye tshirts (they’re actually cute ok!) black uggs/brown uggs/Coach shoes/Tory Burch flats/Tory Burch flip flops/sperrys/nike tennis shoes, north face jacket/Juicy jackets(4) I have a Gucci bag (Xmas gift) 3 Coach bags, Juicy bag, RL bag, 5 Vera Bradley bags (if you think they’re ugly great, i really dont care so dont waste your time) and then some non designer purses from random places. 1 Silver Tiffany necklace, Tiffany heart earrings, Tiffany ring, small (authentic) diamond earrings Before you start judging, note that alot of these designer items (yes my parents bought most of them) were on sale/gift/special occassion. A couple of them I bought myself though. my haircuts cost about $70 just for a “trim” I know this is alot, does anyone know a good place that’s a bit cheaper? Yes, I am thankful for everything I have, sometimes I want more, but I know I have a pretty easy life so I rarely complain about things like this. Please dont give me the answer “if you are grateful you are not spoiled” that may technically be the truth, but you know what I mean. Thanks for any helpful answers!

Oh & also my parents make sure I know the value of money (oh trust me they make SURE) and I do, I dont get whatever I want whenever I want it, and I know I never will. My parents love me and try to teach me that I cant get whatever I want, because, even though it seems like the spoiled kids parents love them more, they clearly dont because they dont truly care about their kid’s future. (Not that they dont love them but they mostly care about pleasing them) Hehe, this is what I learned a few years ago in 5th grade when I had a REALLY spoiled friend.

Ok soo I just wanted to say a few things. My family donates plenty of money to our church every year, I KNOW money cannot buy happiness, the happiest people usually aren’t even wealthy! Wow people certainly do underestimate on here. Yes, I like nice things hence the “label dropping.” No, I didn’t work for alot of those things but most of them were xmas/bday gifts or bought on sale. Some of them, however, came from my babysitting $! And thanks for the “help” doubleteam I’m NOWHERE near as spoiled as most of the girls around here so thanks but NO people do not talk about me behind my back EVERYONE here lives the way I do, and while I admit, I guess I’m a little spoiled, I dont have half the things some of the other girls here do. And summer, you’re saying YOU ask for donations to be made to charities? Hm. And I dont ASK for these gifts (well some of them but many were surprises) and thank you Hotlama for suggesting a beauty school!

If you knew me, you’d know I’m the least stuck-up person EVER. stop being a jealous judgmental MOTHER and like I said, Grow up. okay, so im 17 and I have 7 Lv’s, 1 Chanel, 1 Balenciaga, 2 Marc Jacobs, & 3 Prada (1 is Miu Miu tho) bags. I also have lots of designer shoes. I don’t like Juicy bags, but I have around 5 pairs of their shoes and lots of Marc by Marc Jacobs (like 20 pairs of heels lol).
I get new Uggs every few months, I have the new iphone, ipod touch and the big ipod classic, 2 macbooks and 2 mini hps + an xbox 360/psp/and 2 ds’s + a giant HD tv (dont even know how large *_*).
Every couple weeks me and my best friend get our hair/nails done as well (just stuff like trims/moisturizing treatments for the hair)
I never buy clothes on sale & i like shopping at Abercrombie, Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, and Saks.
I have a $1000 Rag doll kitten, i go shopping every other weekend with friends & spend around $100-$300 each time. I replace pretty much my entire clothing wardrobe every year sooo i need to shop a lot lol
I dont have my drivers license yet, but my mom bought me a bmw x5 (the jeepish one) so haha im getting it soon.
i loooove sushi so i eat that all the time and i only eat Ben and Jerrys/Cold Stone etc.
I think of myself as privileged. Its not like im an awful person cuz a lot of times i even pay for my friends movie tickets just becuz i know i have more money to spend.
